Happy Places and Kindness

Happy Play is an online exhibition showcasing a collection of artworks created at Reachout. In May 20202, Reachout was due to exhibit artwork in Forth Valley Royal Hospital to mark both Mental Health Awareness Week and Forth Valley Art Beat, one of the largest cultural events celebrating creativity across the Forth Valley.

Due to the pandemic, many plans had to be cancelled, so instead, we marked Mental Health Awareness Week with an online exhibition showcasing work centred around the theme of kindness, in line with Mental Health Awareness Week's annual theme. The exhibition features work submitted by Reachout members at home and other works created during pre-lockdown workshops including ‘Happy Place’ mixed media workshops with sessional artist Iona Leishman.
