Sit With Me

Sit With Us showcased work created by local young carers to celebrate their dedication through art and media. During the project young people customised a wooden chair unique to their chosen design and using their chosen materials.

The exhibition encouraged the audience to reflect on the work and the lives of a young carer, raising awareness of the fantastic role young carers have in our communities.

Creative workshops were facilitated by Reachout artists who encouraged the young people to create a series of custom-made chairs, capture impressions and experiences of young people through media engagement, and to finally present their finished artwork to the community through this exhibition.
