Felting
Volunteer Janette teaches needle felting and wet felting techniques to enable you to make both 2 and 3 dimensional felt creations.
NIA
Join Ruth for some fun and feel good movement. NIA incorporates several different movement forms, including elements of martial arts, bringing mindfulness to movement.
Moving to Heal
Nia Moving to Heal is 'Movement as Medicine'. Classes are designed for everybody with long- or short-term healing goals: these can include recovery from injury or surgery; depression; Parkinson's or any other movement challenge; or those experiencing chronic illness. "Healing", as defined by Nia, is described simply by "I feel better". Moving to Heal focuses on slowing down, connecting to the present moment, and building a loving connection with your 'now' body, connecting to JOY. Chairs will be provided, if required.
Fused Glass workshops
Work with member-volunteer Petra Weege and learn how to create beautiful fused glass pieces. £3 per session. All materials and cost of firing items included.
Stained Glass workshops
Work with member-volunteer Petra Weege and/or Helga Craig and learn how to cut, grind and solder stained glass.
Introductions: Working with Colour
'Introductions' is a series of workshops where we will explore a range of different drawing, painting and printmaking techniques in 6-week blocks. Led by project worker Jen Bradley.
In this first block of 6 workshops, we will begin by looking at colour and how it is used within art. Looking to artists who use drawing and painting within their work, we will borrow various painting techniques to build our own way of using colour.
Monoprinting
'Animals in Motion' - Monoprinting workshop led by volunteer Krissy Stewart.
Using Eadweard Muybridge images and various videos to study the movement of animals we will create simple layered line drawings before moving on to create a final piece in trace monoprint from your chosen animal drawings.

Happy Places In Our Minds
Mixed Media with Iona Leishman - The workshops will explore what makes you feel warm and happy.
It could be a beloved animal or person, a beautiful woodland, a loch, mountains or a sunset. It doesn't matter what it is, it's the feeling that counts!
Using mixed media acrylic paint, charcoal, pastel, collage and ink we will work on canvas at the easel or flat work on the table and really go for the colours that warm us inside. Perfect for January and February weather!
As preparation, please bring a photograph(s) of your Happy Place to work from or, if you prefer not to have this prompt, it can be absolutely from your own heart that you paint.

Masters and Mistresses
Sessional Artist Greer Ralston will lead this workshop which will be centred on producing a painting that is based on your favourite artist . Once you have decided who to pick we will look at their style and technique and work towards everyone producing a finished piece in that style. This will involve some research and looking at how the painting has been constructed and then applying those techniques to a subject of your choice. FREE.

Macrame workshops
With guidance from our Project Worker Fiona McCubbin, participants will learn different knots and techniques of Macrame and create a tassel and dip-dyed plant hanger over the 6 weeks.
This workshop is free to attend. Please get in touch if you are interested.
Drawing and Painting workshops with Greer Ralston
'Outside in' - Greer returns to host mixed media drawing and painting workshops held in and inspired by Reachout garden.
Six sessions £5 each.

Traditional Scottish Willow Weaving
John Cowan is returning to share the various weaving techniques involved in creating all kinds of decorative items, baskets and plant frames. Come along to learn a very therapeutic and rewarding skill and you'll be producing beautiful finished items in no time!
£5 per session.

Our volunteer Holly Boyle invites you to bring along something you would like to bling/embellish/jazz up! This could be shoes, trainers, photos frames, mirrors etc etc!!

Glass Mosaic Workshop with Marta Sienkiewicz
Marta works with participants to remove the fear of using the medium of glass. All participants will learn how to design, plan and make glass mosaics.
One free taster session on 5th April 11-1pm followed by a block of 5 workshops at £5 each.
Visualising Music
Join Violin and Cello duo 'High Heels and Horse Hair' as they combine art and music in this 'Visualising Music' workshop. Participants will draw and paint in response to live music inspired by the fabulous world of Scottish Wild Plants. Explore different ways to represent sound through a range of mediums.

Mixed Media Drawing & Painting with Greer Ralston
Six weekly workshops. £5 per session. Greer Ralston graduated from Glasgow School of Art with a B.A. Hons. in Fine Art. She has worked as a freelance artist for a number of years and has works in public and private collections in the UK and abroad.
Chair Yoga with Kirsty Hall
As part of Reachout's CHANGE programme of arts and wellbeing, through our Creative Communities project, we hosted a series of CHAIR YOGA classes for all members to attend - all abilities, beginners welcome. Led by renowned Restorative Movement and Self Care Specialist, Kirsty Hall.
