George Farrow-Hawkins

Artist Facilitator

George graduated with a BA Fine Art (Painting and Printmaking) in 2016 after studying at Glasgow School of Art and École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.


After time volunteering with other participatory arts organisations including Suffolk Art Link and Project Ability in Glasgow, George joined the team at Reachout in 2020.


To further develop his facilitation practice, George attained a COSCA certificate in counselling skills from the University of Strathclyde.


George has exhibited his own artwork in solo and group exhibitions throughout the UK. In 2016 he was the recipient of the Findley Cranbrook residency for painting.


In recent years George’s practice has had a focus on producing animated short films for which he has received critical recognition.  In 2021 his short film ‘What’s Left to Say’ was selected for several national and international short film festivals including; the Edinburgh Short Film Festival, The Adriatic short Film Festival (Italy) and the 7 Second International Film Festival (Argentina).


George is passionate about helping others build their confidence through creativity and making creative activity accessible and engaging for all.
